This page sets out how content on Toxin Free Lab is produced, sourced and corrected.
Sourcing
Every factual claim traces to one of four source types: a manufacturer’s own published disclosure, a government or regulatory publication (CPSC, EPA, FDA), an independent third-party database (such as EWG Skin Deep), or published peer-reviewed research. Where a figure appears, its source is linked in the same sentence or immediately after.
What we do not do
- We do not run laboratory tests and never claim to have done so.
- We do not state that a named brand or product is dangerous. We report what is disclosed and what recognised bodies say about the named ingredients.
- We do not publish invented statistics, invented study citations, or invented manufacturer recommendations.
- We do not accept payment for coverage, placement or conclusions.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed. Substantive corrections are noted on the page itself rather than made silently. To report one, use the contact page.
Health and safety content
Nothing on this site is medical advice. We are not clinicians. Where a topic touches health — respiratory sensitivity, allergens, exposure — we say so and point readers to a qualified professional rather than offering guidance we are not qualified to give.
