Our method

Every assessment on this site is built from manufacturer ingredient disclosures and safety data sheets, third-party classifications from the EWG Skin Deep and Healthy Living databases, EPA Safer Choice listings and FDA guidance, published peer-reviewed research, and verified-buyer feedback analysed at scale.

We do not run our own laboratory tests. A lab result cited here belongs to the organisation that produced it, and is linked so you can read it yourself. We report what the disclosed ingredients are and what recognised bodies say about them. We do not tell you a brand is dangerous.
